I Ristoranti con le "Tre Stelle" scendono da 2 a 1
Ha chiuso il ristorante Grace (Chicago), aperto dallo chef Curtis Duffy e dal general manager Michael Muser  nel dicembre 2012,
che aveva ottenuto le "Tre Stelle" dal 2015. Il 20 dicembre 2017 Duffy e Muser hanno lasciato il ristorante,  
dopo aver provato a rilevarne senza successo la proprietà da Michael Olszewski. 
I Ristoranti con le "Due Stelle" scendono da 4 a 3
Il ristorante Sixteen (Chicago), nato all'interno della Trump International Tower & Hotel Chicago nel 2008
e "bistellato" dal 2014, ha chiuso per essere sostituito da Terrace 16 (Chicago),
 ristorante che presenta una proposta sensibilmente più economica sempre dello chef Nick Dostal,
che era subentrato al Sixteen a Thomas Lents nel 2017.
